Edward John Blake

Published on 26/02/2021

BLAKE Edward John (Eddie) My dearest Eddie, it would be impossible to find enough words in the Oxford English Dictionary to fully describe a man like you, but 'UNIQUE' is probably the most appropriate. You drove me crazy in every way possible and I miss you with all my heart. I am ME because of YOU, my eternal 'Peter Pan'. Forever yours Worthy! xxx

When I first knew Eddie we were kids he lived in St Martin's Avenue and I Sandown Rd. And what a collection of toys he had. Spent hours playing with action men riding bikes and later he had his Yamaha DT50 and My AP50. I left the island but on my occasional visit to shanklin I would come across Eddie on the sea front about to go sailing. He introduced me to his hilux with bullet stickers. We talked about our own adventures far and wide. Shelly you said he was your Peter Pan, an excellent description. Good night and god bless Eddie.

I am so sorry to read about Eddie and will never forget Crocodile Dundee as we used to call him when he worked for Dabell's as a carpet fitter. Customers loved him as he always made an excellent job of their flooring and many would not have any other fitter and would always insist on Eddie. Thanks for all the fun you gave us with your original sense of humor. My heart goes out to Shelly Archie and Jackson . God Bless you
