Disposal of open space land under Section 123 Local Government Act 1972
Isle of Wight Council hereby gives notice of its intention to dispose by way of Lease the land surrounding the Newport Victoria Sports and Social Club building, at Victoria Recreation Ground Recreation, Ground Road, Newport, Isle of Wight (approximately 37195 m2). The lease will be granted to Newport & Carisbrooke Community Council for a term of 99 years with a permitted use for sporting and recreational events and other recreational use and enjoyment by members of the public.
Anyone who wishes to object to any disposal should give their objections in writing to Lee Matthews, Strategic Manager, Recreation and Public Spaces, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by no later than Friday 19 November 2021.
