PERIODICALLY John Utting demonstrates his lack of a grip on reality by writing to the Advertiser. It was, I think, Utting who sarcastically wrote that he was "dying to see" George Galloway respond through the courts to press accusations, not realising the latter had already issued writs.
Now Utting writes to moan about Iraqis who show no gratitude at having their country destroyed by Britain and the US.
After Britain's first violent pre-Second World War grab of Iraq and its oil, in 1920 in response to Iraqis wanting to control their own country Britain bombed them. Churchill said they "could be cheaply policed by aircraft armed with gas bombs".
Saddam Hussein owed his position to a coup backed by the USA and Britain.
British and US troops have been put in harm's way by Bush and Blair who lied to further the interests of the oil companies. This is why we should demand the troops come home.
