It is reported (CP online, 23-08-21) that Mr Addison of the Road Races is keen to welcome people into the conversation who know what they are talking about and not just deal with speculation and hyperbole.

We would submit that people directly affected do know what they are talking about regarding the disruption to their lives.

We would also submit that they themselves can only speculate about the event and its effect on the Island, albeit with some knowledge gained from the Isle of Man.

We find the tone being adopted exceedingly insulting and not conducive to constructive discussion.

This was also apparent in the leaflet supplied at the information saying that it was not a consultation and not to be offensive.
