SUSAN Simpson and Danny Bowkis were married at Jolly Beach in Antigua.

The bride is a social worker and the bridegroom a property developer.

The bride was given away by Paul Evans (bride's brother) and Charlie Clark (bride's son).

She wore a satin dress with diamante straps, handmade in Thailand, and carried a colourful bouquet of fresh local flowers.

She was attended by Amy and Hannah Bowkis (bridegroom's daughters) and Emily Simspon (bride's daughter), who wore African-inspired gowns, handmade in Cape Verde, with fresh hibiscus flowers in their hair.

The best woman was Tina Derbyshire, of the Crab Inn, Shanklin, where the reception was held.

The couple's newly-born grandson, Henry, wore a floral short matching the bridegroom's.

The Rev Vaughn Walter ABE officiated.

The couple, who live in Shanklin, spent their honeymoon touring China, Vietnam and Thailand.
