COUNTY Press head of sales, Sim Rose, is going to throw herself out of a plane to raise money for an Island charity.
Sim will be doing a tandem skydive in aid of Challenge and Adventure on Wednesday, July 10, at Sandown airport.
Challenge and Adventure launched in 1992, to help young people from the Isle of Wight who were struggling with life and to encourage them to take part in outdoor activities to help boost confidence and self esteem.
Sim said: "My daughter has had the fortune to ooze with confidence and has never been disadvantaged, but this is not the case for some of the young people on the Island.
"I want to help this charity continue to help these disadvantaged young people to be able to integrate into the community by growing their confidence and self-esteem.
"Of course, I am nervous about jumping out of a plane, but the tandem skydive has been something on my bucket list for many years and what a better way to do it than by raising money for a great cause."
