ISLE of Wight organisations have rallied round to support the Medina Marching Band, following its fundraising appeal to travel to the Lord Mayor's Show, with donations to the tune of £1,450.
The band has received two more donations — £1,100 from the Isle of Wight Gun Club and £350 from the West Wight Masonic Lodge.
The gun club raised the cash at its annual charity shoot, where members chose a local charity to benefit from the event.
Medina Marching Band vice chairman, Kevin Downer, said: "These are fantastic donations towards our goal of £2,500 to get us to London in November."
