MOUNTBATTEN will host its latest 'death chat' at glassmaker who creates jewellery from the ashes of loved ones.

The charity's death chats, led by a member of staff, offer an opportunity to meet and talk with others about death and dying in a relaxed, informal and supportive setting.

The next event will be held at Glory Art Glass, at Melville Street, Sandown, between 6pm and 7.30pm on Monday, September 2.

Ed Evans, of Eternity Glass Memorials, which is based at Glory Art Glass, makes unique pieces of jewellery and other memorials which incorporate the ashes of a loved one.

Anyone who would like to attend can book a place, before Friday, August 23, by calling 217309. Places are limited and booking is essential.

Death chats will be held at the charity's John Cheverton Centre, Newport, at 6pm on October 7, November 4 and December 2.

They are also held at Mountbatten's Ventnor shop on the third Monday of the month, and the Shanklin shop on the fourth Monday of the month. Sessions start at 3pm.
