ORGANISERS of the first Great Wonderfest — hosted by children's favourites Dick and Dom and starring boybands Busted and The Vamps — have hailed the event an 'amazing' success.

Held at Duxmore Farm, near Arreton, over the weekend, the four-day family festival featured live music and DJ sets from acts including Sigma, Becky Hill, Jaguar Skills, Conor Maynard, Mistajam, Bez and Rowetta from the Happy Mondays and the Isle of Wight's own Derek Sandy.

Dick and Dom entertained the crowds on the Main Stage, with custard pie fights galore, and there were appearances from children's favourites Peppa Pig and Rastamouse.

There were plenty of adventure activities on offer, including skateboarding sessions with Wight Trash, human table football and a Robot Wars arena, plus an Awakening Festival offering yoga and meditation.

Great Wonderfest organisers said: "What an absolutely amazing weekend, we're still buzzing here are at Wonderfest HQ.

"Huge thanks to the Isle of Wight who came out in full force and got stuck into our new perfectly formed family festival — and what a blast we had!

"From boyband royalty Busted and The Vamps smashing it out of the park on the Main Stage, and epic sets from superstar DJs Sigma, Mistajam and Jaguar Skills, to Dick and Dom’s hilarious live sets, custard pie fights, scout camp fires and family yoga raves, there really was something for everyone.

"Thanks for all your support and we’ll be back next year with more festival fun and incredible music created with love just for you.

"Keep checking our socials for updates."
