HOVERTRAVEL services have been cancelled this morning (Saturday) due to the high winds.

The Red Jet service has been suspended.

Wightlink services are still running.

As reported, a Met Office weather warning for wind is in place until 11.59pm tonight.

The Sail GP and Cowes Week racing has been cancelled today.

Southern Vectis said it may not be able to run the Breezer bus to the Needles Battery.

UPDATE 8.13am: The Red Jet has been suspended until further notice.

UPDATE 9.04am: Hovertravel services remain cancelled. The next update will be provided at 11am.

UPDATE 9.16am: The Southern Vectis Breezer bus is not serving the Needles Old Battery.

UPDATE 11.09am: Due to the high winds, the Jack Up the Summer site will now open at 1pm rather than 11am.

UPDATE 11.20am: The Red Funnel car ferry service is delayed by ten to 20 minutes due to the adverse weather.

UPDATE: 12.01pm: Due to public safety concerns, Jack Up the Summer organsiers said it was unlikely the site would open until 4pm. A further update is due at 1pm.

UPDATE 12.18pm: The Red Jet is still suspended until further notice due to adverse weather. The next review will be at 2.30pm.

UPDATE 2.12pm: Hovertravel services remain cancelled. The next update will be provided at 3pm.

UPDATE 3.35pm: Hovertravel services remain cancelled. The next update will be provided at 5pm. 

The Red Jet service will run a 3.45pm sailing from Southampton as conditions are improving. Once it has arrived in Cowes, Red Funnel will confirm whether a full service will resume.

UPDATE 4.30pm: The Red Jet service has returned to timetable.
