From Geraldine Scott, Ryde:

At LAST someone who really understands the problems we face on the Island.

Lord Adonis really hit the nail on the head with his bullet points regarding the abysmal service of our ferries and horrendous fares, the dire standard of education on the island, the lack of investment on the infrastructure especially Island Line trains plus the lack of job opportunities.

When will the government address these issues?

Other islands have subsidised ferries or are linked by bridges or tunnels. I feel the answer is a fixed railway link as our roads are not really fit for masses of extra traffic but whatever something must be done.
