AN EMERGENCY incident has forced Wightlink to cancel five of its car ferry crossings today on its Lymington to Yarmouth route.

The 1pm and the 5pm from Lymington as well as the 2.05pm, the 4.05pm and the 6.05pm sailings have all been cancelled.

Wightlink Ferries wrote on Twitter: "Due to an earlier emergency incident, there are a number of cancelled sailings on our Lymington to Yarmouth car ferry service today.

"Please visit our website for further details. We apologise for any changes to your travel plans."
