A TWO vehicle crash took place in Freshwater this evening (Saturday).
Ambulance Services received news of an accident at Afton Road at 8.27pm, with fire crews from Freshwater and Newport attending, in addition to a senior Police Officer and a team from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Fire Services removed the roof from one of the vehicles in order to rescue a trapped passenger.
An Isle of Wight Ambulance spokesperson said: "Two vehicles were involved, with three casualties, of which one male and one female have been transferred to A and E — all are conscious and breathing."
