A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with possession of offensive weapons.
A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Police said: "Officers arrested a 17-year-old boy at 2.23pm on October 14 in Atkinson Drive, Newport."
He was later charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of a knife in a public place and appeared in court yesterday (Tuesday).
He was remanded on conditional bail and the case has been adjourned to November 6 at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
As he is a youth, he cannot be identified.
