ISLAND charity Sight for Wight hosted its first murder mystery event — Murder at Millbrooke House.

There were 33 super sleuth guests all vying to solve the mystery of whodunnit, while also enjoying a two-course supper which included wine, after dinner mints and refreshments.

Hannah Pereira wrote the script and cast the actors in an Agatha Christie style plot with plenty of twists.

Chris Cane, Sight for Wight's marketing, communications and fundraising manager, said: "We are always looking for new and fun ways to raise money for the charity and I am delighted to report our very first murder mystery was a great success.

"An event like this can only happen with the help and support of dedicated staff, trustees and volunteers so a huge thank you goes to everyone involved.

"A special thanks must go to the actors Hannah Pereira, Bryony Davies, Fiona Gwinnett, Tia Jackson, Si Lynch and Maureen Sullivan."

Chris also took on a role.

Due to the popularity of the event, Sight for Wight will be hosting the sequel to Murder at Millbrooke House early next year.
