HEAVEN 17 is the first act announced for next year's Jack Up the Summer.

The 80s act was due to appear in August this year but bad weather meant the festival couldn't open on the Saturday.

Organisers have managed to secure the band for 2020 and described the announcement as a 'real crowd-pleaser'.

The festival will take place at North Fairlee Farm, Newport, on August 7 to 9.

Heaven 17 was born from the ashes of the Human League, and famed for hits including Temptation.

The band pioneered icy electronica and futuristic funk.

UPDATE: Aswad have now been announced.

UPDATE: General tickets will go on sale on December 9. Early Bird tickets are already available via The Price is Wight.
