A CHARITY gala raised £22,000 — and the money has been split between three Isle of Wight good causes.

Esplanade’s fourth annual black tie charity gala, held on October 12, raised £7,333 each for the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation, UKSA's Test the Water programme and KissyPuppy.

Esplanade meets all costs associated with the gala and chef Robert Thompson donates the food and his time.

The partnership between Esplanade and Mr Thompson has seen a total of £67,470 raised for Isle of Wight charities over the last four years.

Esplanade general manager, Paul Styles, said: "We are really pleased to be in a position to organise this event and raise money for local charities which are close to our hearts."
