THE first wave of acts have been announced for the 2020 Toogether festival, which will take place at Sandown Airport in the summer.

LTJ Bukem, EZ Rollers, Lost Colours, Fleveans, Izo Fitzroy, Karl Phillips and The Rejects, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Trevor Rockcliffe and Lindy Layton of Beats International are among a slew of names disclosed by organisers.

A second set of announcements will be made in mid-February, with further headliners expected to be among them.

Toogether founder, Mark Weber, said: "We are absolutely ecstatic to have secured such an appealing location for the second Toogether festival.

"The acts we've announced so far should hopefully whet the appetites of anyone who enjoys good music in a non-corporate setting.

"They are the tip of the iceberg and we have another load of acts to announce next month.

"Last year was a success, and we let everybody know what we are about, but this time we want to take it to the next level.

"Our aim is to provide a fun music festival for music lovers of a range of genres, with the atmosphere being the real star of the show."

The 2020 edition of the festival will have three stages — The Aircraft stage for bands, the Area 51 dance stage for DJs, and The Soul Kaf which will embrace soul and funk.

The festival will be held at Sandown Airport from Friday, July 31, until Monday, August 3.

Following the success of the inaugural event, organisers have expanded the capacity to 5,000 and added an option to camp.
