ISLE OF WIGHT grunge trio, Killing Morton, have released their new single, Falsegods.

The band's latest issue is a sub-three-minute rock track, inspired by alternative bands like Reuben and Metz, and is the first of several releases planned by the band in 2020.

Like the previous two singles, Falsegods was recorded at Rookley based Hungry Hound Productions in conjunction with Stuart Heath, chosen for his work with other heavy Island acts such as King Kuna and Sexy Pretty Things.

Mastering was completed by Guy Page at Studio 5a in Cowes.

Killing Morton formed in 2017 and released debut single, Pips, the following year, and follow-up, Mob Scene, in 2019.

Between releases, the group have played a number of shows at Strings in Newport, The Hobbit in Southampton and The Edge Of The Wedge in Portsmouth.

The band has confirmed appearances at Rock For Good at Coburgs in April and HELLY Weekender at Camphill Social Club in Newport in July.

Guitarist and singer, Jack Gorman, said: "We're beyond proud to release Falsegods as it is a much stronger song than our previous singles. The mood and tone of the track gives a flavour of the EP that we'll be releasing this summer."

Falsegods will be available to download and stream on all major music streaming services including Spotify and Apple Music.

Killing Morton will release another single in April this year with a debut EP planned for July.
