A FRESHWATER road has been closed this afternoon (Monday) due to a burst water main.

Copse Lane has been closed while Southern Water engineers carry out repairs.

Southern Vectis tweeted at 2.55pm: "Diversions are in place on the Route 7 because of a road closure.

"Copse Lane, Freshwater, has been closed for contractors to attend to a burst water main.

"Buses will be unable to serve bus stops from Norton Green to Hooke Hill Bottom until works are complete."

A diversion has been put in place affecting Hill Lane, Colwell Road, The Avenue, Avenue Road, High Street, Tennyson Road, School Green Road and Hooke Hill.
