GREAT Wonderfest is returning to the Isle of Wight this summer with a family-friendly vibe and acts to please every age group.

From Faithless (DJ Set) and Ella Eyre, to Terry Hall, of the Specials, and Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp, plus children's favourites Basil Brush, Hacker Dog and Dodge, and Hey Duggee; there will be tons to see and do for all the family.

Duxmore Farm, off the Downs Road, will again be the venue for the event, which runs from August 6 to 10.

Great Wonderfest also has the Adventure Field, featuring a plethora of exciting activities, nature and free sports with Fusion Extreme BMX & Stunt Show, Scouting Skills & Campfire Sessions, Climbing Wall, Mud Kitchen, Wight Trash Skate Park and more.

Portsmouth FC will present Pompey in the Community Soccer Skills and don’t miss out on the Roller Disco, Sublime Science, Mini Ravers, Fabulous Josh Drag Show, Mortimer Nannies, Big Man in The Woods, Silly Scott Magic Show, Funfair and Trampolines, Forest Jack and Starlight Dance.

Great Wonderfest promoter Ziggy Gilsenen said: “We are super excited to launch the second edition of Great Wonderfest. It a handcrafted family music festival, so a whole lot of love has gone into curating the show, making sure we’ve got something for everyone.

"And it’s been a family affair all the way, with the kids getting stuck into helping us plan it, too.

“Great Wonderfest is designed for families with kids of all ages, not forgetting parents and grandparents who fancy a bit of a day of it, or even a big night out festival style."

Pop dynamo Ella Eyre takes main stage pole position on the Saturday.

Dance music legends Faithless (DJ Set) will lead the event into a truly spectacular fireworks finale on the Sunday night.

And there’s main stage music all weekend long from the likes of pop wunderkind HRVY, drum 'n' bass don Goldie, Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, who swaps his bass for his Back to the 80s DJ show, and Terry Hall (The Specials). Theree is live house music action from Judge Jules, bass manoeuvres from Dub Pistols, comic capers and sultry soul from The Cuban Brothers, plus Mini Ravers, Drum 'n' Brunch, resident DJs Russ Cuban & Archerio, and Wonderfest Allstars with more acts still to be announced.

The Island’s number one singing sensation Lauran Hibberd takes the inaugural Rising Star spot, with rapper Levi Collins, SBTV alumnus Aaron Unknown, Portsmouth’s bluesy altrocker Crstian TR, and Island D&B upstart Just Eden also showcasing their considerable talents across the weekend.

The music won’t be the only thing that goes boom-boom though as high jinks are guaranteed with children’s entertainment giant Basil Brush, on Friday, CBBC’s canine superstar Hacker T Dog who has his day in front of the Great Wonderfest crowds with sidekick Dodge on Saturday and Hey Duggee, who will also meet and greet the crowds on Sunday.

Former Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood makes a return, TV & Radio presenter Katie Thistleton is Saturday’s essential MC, Radio 1 legend Scott Mills is on hand to host proceedings on Sunday, while veteran Comedy Store Player and ‘Who’s Line Is It Anyway?’ star Stephen Frost will preside over affairs all weekend long.

Great Wonderfest has wonder camps galore, from general camping area to an array of glamping options, plus a VIP Star Bar, hospitality area and more to give your festival mini-break that added touch of comfort and contentment.
