ORGANISERS of the Wolverton Manor Garden Fair plan to celebrate the event's 21st instalment by making it their most extensive presentation to date.

The fair, which launched in 2000, takes place over the weekend of September 5 and 6.

Exhibitor bookings have already been snapped up, with all indoor stalls taken and only a few outdoor pitches remaining — more than six months in advance.

A spokesperson for the fair said: "We expect the 2020 instalment to be our biggest and most diverse to date.

"We will have a variety of specialist Island and mainland garden nursery stalls, displaying an assorted and inspiring range of plants and flowers.

"Arts and crafts will be comprehensively represented by both Island and non-Island exhibitors.

"The Elizabethan re-enactors will bring music, dance, cooking and crafts from the past into a contemporary setting."

Among the myriad of activities on offer are dog shows, poultry exhibits, wood carving, traditional wool spinning, archery, falconry displays, live music, and alpacas, bats and donkeys.

More than 7,000 people attended last year's Wolverton Manor Garden Fair, with £25,000 raised for Age UK IW, in addition to a variety of contributions towards other Island charities.

Tickets will be available in advance for £5, and for £7 on the gate. Children under 14 have free entry.
