AS THE coronavirus pandemic sweeps the nation, a seven-year-old girl on the Isle of Wight has offered some solace through a heartwarming act.
Emily Ilioska — a year two student at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Ryde — has written a touching letter to her neighbours.
Emily's mother, and NHS worker, Mileva Dinova, said: "In this difficult time, her letter will bring at least a smile and a feeling of hope.
"She had the best idea — to start writing letters to all the people we know, and don’t know, and offer our help.
"She has a beautiful relationship with our neighbours, and having not seen them a lot recently, she missed them so much that she decided to write a letter and offer her help.
"Her letter and idea has given us even more strength to continue what we are doing — helping our patients and people in this difficult time."
