Fire — spreading into the roof space — at property in Cowes
A FIRE has spread into a roof space in Cowes, and firefighters are currently on the scene.
Cowes Fire Station is on the scene at Shooters Hill, after being mobilised at 8.24pm.

UPDATE 9.45pm:
Fire crews from Newport and Cowes attended the scene and have now placed a stop message, with the fire safely out.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight Fire Service said the fire was in the first floor at a block of flats, and smoke had spread to an adjacent flat.
