THE Isle of Wight and Hampshire's most senior police officer has thanked Islanders for playing their part in the battle against coronavirus, after meeting residents while on patrol.
Hampshire Constabuary's Olivia Pinkney has revealed she joined officers on the streets of Newport this week.
Chief Constable Pinkney tweeted: "Massively impressed by every single person I met .....all taking the advice each of us is adapting to, to protect the NHS and save lives. Thankyou!!"
