From donkeys to the Far East – Isle of Wight County Press Camera Club members show their skills

County Press editor Alan Marriott set the theme to the Facebook page members with lockdown in mind.

Alan said: "It was an almost impossible job to judge animal pictures against sunsets and landscapes against action shots.

"Allan Marsh's wonderfully captured image of powerboats in front of the Red Funnel car ferry was a worthy contender, as was Pamela Parker's chuckle-making image of a donkey giving, as she put it, 'an old-fashioned look'.

"However Cait D'Arcy's poignant picture of a Cambodian girl in mono, which she captioned 'In her own world', was my choice as winner.

"I felt it evoked photo journalism as was seen in Island professional photographer Giles Clark's images at Quay Arts last year."
