A WROXALL resident who ornately paints stones with uplifting messages and colourful artwork, has used her time in isolation to decorate her front garden.

Two years ago, Diane Fuller began painting positive images on stones and hiding them around the Island for residents to discover.

When the lockdown began, she decided to turn her front garden into a rock garden of colourful stones and messages for passers-by to admire.

Diane said: "During this lockdown time I decided plants were not a necessity to be going out buying.

"It has given me something to do throughout these terrible times. It has also given joy to passers-by. I have people stopping to admire them all the time.

"Some people are even taking photos of my handiwork. I have made new friends with the amount of people stopping to chat to me about them.

"I have even painted empty baked beans cans to make into ladybird and bumble bees.

"Some people have asked me to paint their stones, offering payment, but I don't charge anyone as it gives me pleasure doing them and seeing their faces when they collect the finished product.

"In return I often get blank stones left on my doorstep which I appreciate as I keep running out."
