AN EXOTIC pet shop in Ryde says it will support Amazon World with food donations, as the Newchurch attraction deals with the repercussions of the coronavirus lockdown.

The team at Wight Vipers say they will donate one tub of food to the Isle of Wight animal attraction for every £1 donated by customers.

In a post on its Facebook page, Wight Vipers said: "Amazon World have probably the largest reptile collection on the Island to feed at this time. What we wish to do is to help them with food. When you come in for your weekly food supplies, we are going to ask if you could spare £1."

The post said: "For every one pound donated to this cause we will give Amazon World a tub of live food for their animals. The more we get, the bigger the supply of food we can get them, to help even in a small way."
