Slight increase in confirmed Isle of Wight coronavirus cases

There have now been 196 confirmed coronavirus cases on the Isle of Wight

CONFIRMED cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Wight are closing in on 200, the latest figures have revealed.

One new case has been confirmed today, taking the total to 196 — the third lowest of all local authority areas in England.

Figures released today by Public Health England show the rise.

There have been 37 deaths at St Mary's Hospital, with a further 26 on the Island not at hospital — a total of 63.

The UK coronavirus death total is now at 37,048, up 134 on yesterday's figure.
