COASTGUARD and police were called to reports of a missing child in Sandown this afternoon (Saturday).
At 3.54, Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team was called to assist police with a search for a boy last seen in the water.
The call came in from a worried grandmother, but before other rescue teams tasked had arrived — including Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175 — the boy was found on the beach near Culver Parade.
