VENTNOR Coastguard Rescue Team has been called to Luccombe Bay this morning (Sunday) to investigate a report of a parachute.
At 10.15am, the coastguard team received the call, and are now carrying out an initial search of the area.
UPDATE 3.10pm:
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to report of a parachute seen below the cliffs at Luccombe.
The team searched the area and found it to be a paraglider flying in area.
A spokesperson for Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team said: "They were located safe and well — a false alarm with good intent.
"The caller did the right thing."
