FREE parking will no longer be available for Isle of Wight keyworkers who do not work for the NHS from today (Monday).

The Isle of Wight Council says NHS staff - including health and social care workers and NHS volunteer responders - will still be able to park from free, however.

Thanking keyworkers who made a "significant difference during lockdown", Cllr Ian Ward says the exemption had to end for those not directily working for the health service.

From today, those who are still eligible for the concession must prove it when they use the local authority's off-street car parks and on-street bays.
