AN AWARD-WINNING West Wight restaurant has scooped another prestigious honour.

Off the Rails, Yarmouth, has been named the Corporate LiveWire British Restaurant of the Year - South England.

Restaurateur, Philippe Blot, said: "I'm thrilled with the news, it's a huge honour and recognition for all our hard work here."

Corporate Live Wire and LTG business platforms have run the national and international awards for 16 years and two years ago introduced regional awards to recognise smaller, independent businesses.

A spokesman said: "Each of our award-winners have changed the world in some way, both in large and small quantities by creating new technologies, setting new trends and evolving industry standards."

Off the Rails has been in The Wight Food Guide's top five Island restaurants since 2016 and has been awarded the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence since 2017.

Off the Rails has re-opened after lockdown.
