THERE have been no further reported cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Wight this week.

Figures released today by Public Health England shows the Island remains on 423 cases.

The latest update was the 423rd case, recorded on Tuesday, July 28.

The last two positive cases, since July 27, were deemed not linked by time or place and so did not constitute an outbreak.

Information about where coronavirus patients live, work, where they have visited or where they were tested, is not available.

The total number of people who have died from the virus on the Isle of Wight is 83, across care homes, the hospital, the community and the hospice.

Anyone showing symptoms should not leave home.

They should also book a test by calling 119 or visiting the NHS Direct website.
