High tides are likely to cause disruption for the floating bridge replacement launch service on Sunday.

The Isle of Wight Council is warning of possible problems between 12:30pm and 1:30pm.

In addition, very low tides may cause difficulties for embarking and disembarking, due to a steep ramp to and from the launch. They are at 7am and 7pm on Sunday.

The council says suitable footwear is advised.

Earlier, the expected date of the return of the floating bridge was revealed in a letter by the Isle of Wight Council chief executive.
