Isle of Wight coastguards called to yacht aground in East Cowes
An Isle of Wight coastguard team was called to the aid of a yacht aground off East Cowes, this lunchtime (Saturday).
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue team was called out, in blustery conditions, at around midday. The problem was quickly dealt with and no-one was hurt.
It was the second job of the day, in the same area.
In an unrelated incident, they joined Cowes RNLI in a search operation, after a boat was found abandoned.
The incident was stood down after an investigation confirmed that all was well.
