The total number of Isle of Wight cases of coronavirus has risen by one, to 457.

That number is cases recorded since the start of the pandemic and the number of people who have recovered from the virus is not made available.

According to the latest government data, the latest case was confirmed earlier this week and it has just been added to the overall tally today (Sunday).

No hospital deaths have been recorded due to Covid-19 since September 1.

The Isle of Wight Council is reminding Islanders to follow the #handsfacespace message: Wash hands thoroughly, wear mask where required, and follow social distancing rules.

Anyone with symptoms (a persistent cough, temperature, or change to smell/taste) should request a test, by calling 119 or by visiting the government's website
