ISLAND musicians Quatrapuntal have released a new video for the song Daydream.

The track features Polly Green on vocals, Chris Hirst on mandora and melodica, and renowned cellist James Halsey.

Chris said: “With the weather getting colder and worries about coronavirus increasing, we wanted to do a feel-good song where you could forget it all for a few minutes and remember the summer.

"The Island is a great inspiration for musicians and other artists. Many of the Quatrapuntal songs were inspired by landscapes or seasons here, particularly the east side, which I see every day.

"I hope people will bear in mind it was often music and other arts that got them through lockdown, and will support artists of all kinds in these difficult times.”

The band’s style fuses classical, folk, film music, musicals, world music and other genres to create one epic soundscape.

Predominantly shot in Seaview, the music video for Daydream is now available to view online by searching for Quatrapuntal on YouTube.
