You may recall covering a story about a Bloodhound missile that was recovered from Blackgang Chine theme park in March 2013.

This was transported to the former RAF North Coates in Lincolnshire for rebuild and preservation.

The Bloodhound had been introduced into RAF service at North Coates in the late 1950s and this particular example, which is a rare Mk 1 version, is thought to be one of only a handful still around.

North Coates Flying Club now operates from the airfield and members have spent the last eight-plus years restoring the missile, which has now gone on public display.
