ON FRIDAY, October 2, I discovered our landline in Station Road had an external fault, hence no phone.

Our service providers Utility Warehouse promised to deal with it and it should have been remedied at the latest by Wednesday.

By last Friday (October 9), I had received no feedback as yet on progress, nor seen any sight of Open Reach in my road by the late afternoon.

They are virtually impossible to contact, complain too by phone or online, such is the state of such organisations.

Do other people get these problems with their apparent use of technology to prevent us having a conversation with a sensible human?

This seems so ridiculous. I have not seen anyone even check where the fault is.
