STRONG breezes and heavy showers are forecast for the Isle of Wight this week.

Today (Tuesday) is set for some early brightness but the cloud will quickly thicken from the west.

This will bring bring rain which will last throughout the morning and into the first part of the afternoon.

Later in the afternoon the cloud and rain will push away to the east to allow some sunny spells to break through along with a few showers which may well be heavy.

The temperature will initially be a pleasant 13c to 15c, but will drop through the afternoon.
