A YEAR two class bubble and four members of staff have been told to self-isolate following a confirmed case of Covid-19 at St Thomas of Canterbury Primary School.

Maggie Sanderson, headteacher at the Carisbrooke school, has confirmed a member of the school community has received a positive test result for the virus.

She says the school has rigorously followed the advice of Public Health England, and following this, the year two class bubble and four other staff members have been required to self-isolate.

The rest of the school will remain open for all other staff and students.

Staff, parents and carers have all been informed, and Ms Sanderson says the self-isolating pupils will receive high quality remote learning throughout their period of self-isolation.
