As a new resident of Brighstone I would like voice my strong objections to the Isle of Wight hosting any motor racing.

The reasons being, extreme disruption to normal life and the ability to move around the Island during the races.

Many residents will be forced to stay on the spot and will not be able to attend regular meetings or even access medical facilities etc.

Also the races will pollute the Island, and there will be an increase in traffic accidents year round as racers come to the Island to try out the route.

This will put off people visiting the Island and safely walk the roads.

If the IW hosts the racers this, in turn, will affect property prices and tourists will choose other destinations to visit and own holiday property.

I know two families who are waiting to see if the races materialise and if so will buy cottages elsewhere.

Please say no to the Diamond Races.
