Don't fall foul of an 'incredibly realistic' email scam which pretends to be an invitation for a Covid-19 vaccination but asks for personal details and your bank account number.

The Isle of Wight's Trading Standards team wants us to forward on these fake emails, so they can be investigated.

The Island team says it has received a 'worrying number' of reports about about the email which takes its wording straight from the NHS.

Isle of Wight Against Scams Partnership (IWASP) said: "The email will ask you to click on a link to accept your invitation, however it will then ask you for personal details and then bank account details.

"This is a SCAM please do not be fooled by the genuine looking branding.

"You will not be contacted in this way to receive your vaccine and the NHS will never ask for banking details."

If you are invited for a coronavirus vaccine, you will get a letter.

If you receive the email, forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk and then you are advised to delete it.
