Four more Covid deaths recorded at St Mary's Hospital

Four more people have died in hospital on the Isle of Wight.

The data records those who tested positive for Covid-19, and where it was recognised on a death certificate.

Announced today, one death was recorded on January 23, two on January 24 and one on January 25.

110 people have died from Covid-19 in St Mary's hospital since records began.

In total, 169 people have died on the Island - including 59 people in the community (at home, in a hospice, or in a care home).

Earlier today (Tuesday), it was announced that five more people had died from the virus.

Four of those deaths were recorded in care homes, alongside one at home.

Yesterday (Monday), 41 new cases of coronavirus were added to the Isle of Wight's total.

The rolling average continues to fall.

In the seven days to January 20, per 100,000 people, there were 470.5 cases.
