A WHITE van collided with a garden wall in Ryde this evening (Saturday).
Police were called to the single vehicle accident on St John's Hill, near the junction of St John's Wood Road, at around 6.30pm.
An eyewitness in St John's Wood Road, Jayne Clews, said: "I heard a bang and went outside to see what happened.
"A white van crashed into a garden wall. I don't know what caused the driver to do that. There weren't any other vehicles involved," she said.
"The driver was breathalysed and the van was recovered about an hour later.
"It didn't look like the driver was injured."
