THE ever-popular Isle of Wight International Charity Classic Car Extravaganza is changing its dates next year.

Traditionally the annual event is held on the second weekend of September, but next year the car show will be moving to September 3 and 4 to avoid clashing with the Tour of Britain cycling event, which will be finishing in Ryde on the second weekend of September.

Vic Gallucci, who organises the classic car extravaganza, said: “We have simply brought our show forward to avoid clashing with the cycling event.

“Next year’s extravaganza will be our 21st show and because it was such a success in Ryde this year, we will once again be keeping the event in Ryde on both days.

“The 2022 event will be taking place in Ryde North Walk, Eastern Gardens and in and around LA Bowl and we hope it will be bigger and better than ever.”

Vic said that as always, he was indebted to his many sponsors and supporters for their continued help in making the event such a huge success — these include the Isle of Wight Council, Ryde Town Council, Wightlink, the Isle of Wight County Press, Island Roads, Warner Hotel Group and many more.
