THIS year marks 27 years of The Isle of Wight Ghost Experience, and this Halloween plans to be no less scary.

Lured in with a promise of an Island adventure, this ghost hunter was shown how to delve into the past, secrets, murder, intrigue, and love that marks the Island out as arguably one of the most haunted places in the world.

We explored themes of revenge for our mission at Arreton Barns and found out about greed, loss, and the terrible price paid by those accused of witchcraft.

In unique ghost walk style, brave visitors to this walk can nominate a member of their party to face the dreaded Witch Finder General.

What fate will they face?

The Ghost Experience at Arreton Barns takes place on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 at 7.30pm.

At Ventnor, find out what remains of the old tuberculosis hospital, explore parts of the original site, and traverse the paths, many of which were built by former patients.

Brave souls can join the Ghost Experience on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 at 7.30pm, and even braver souls can choose a late-night 10pm walk on Sunday 24.

Or why not join the experience at Carisbrooke?

The village, steeped in history, is a magnificent setting that boasts many a spine-tingling tale or two.

Discover the grisly end to a harmless act or find out why some do not walk the path from the church to the pond alone.

Prepare to uncover more than you bargained for, with walks taking place on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 at 7.30pm.

All walks start at 7.30pm, except Sunday 24, cost £15 per person and need to be pre-booked by calling 07985710857.

Spaces are strictly limited so call early to book your favourite.
