AFTER a troubled week, Red Jet 7 is ready to return to service tomorrow (Monday), now that its essential repairs have been completed.

Red Jet 7 has been experiencing difficulties with the fuel system of the port main engines.

On Tuesday (October 19), the boat was tugged back into Southampton due to mechanical issues mid-Solent, with 54 passengers on board, which left it sidelined for nearly a week.

Leanna Lakes, Operations Director, said: “We are pleased to announce that Red Jet 7 will be back in service from Monday morning.

“We sincerely apologise for the disruption caused as our teams worked to make essential repairs to the fuel system of the port main engines.

“Timetables will return to normal from Monday, October 25.”

Red Jet 4 will remain out of service until Monday, November 1, at the earliest, as the vessel awaits survey and re-certification following major engine repair works.
