THE latest data from Public Health England show a further 127 confirmed Covid cases for the Isle of Wight today (Sunday).

This latest update brings the total number of confirmed cases for the Island to 14,689.

Yesterday there were 135 confirmed cases, with 96 the day before.

83.9 per cent of the Island’s population aged 12 and over have received their first Covid vaccine, while 77.8 per cent have received their second.

The Island’s rolling rate, while five days behind, has fallen slightly from yesterday.

In the seven days to October 18, it was 567.1.

In the most recent data, in the seven days to October 19, that figure was 556.6.

Since the start of the pandemic, 8,773,674 people have tested positive for Covid in the UK.
